These cushioning heel cups are made from a silicone gel and are placed inside shoes to reduce impact and pressure on the heel. Cushioning heel cups can be particularly beneficial for individuals who suffer from conditions such as plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, or heel pain, as they help to absorb shock and reduce strain on the foot. For children, they are perfect for Sever’s disease. They are the same density as the natural fat pad under the heel, so are an ideal replacement for that to cushion and absorb shock, especially in conditions like fat pad atrophy.
Frequently asked questions about the Cushioning Heel Cups:
How long does shipping take?
We ship every day. Most orders are sent the day we get them. However, we are at the mercy of Australia Post or the different couriers that we use after that. This can vary from a few days up to a week or so and obviously more during the festive season. We do try our best to get them to you as quickly as possible.
Do these cushioning heel cups come in different sizes?
No, they only come in the one universal size. They can be “squeezed” into smaller sizes if needed and can be trimmed around the edges. They will still stay under the heel in the larger sizes, so can be still effective.
How soft are these cushioning heel cups?
They have a similar density to the fat pad that is under your heel, so are ideal for doing the job of cushioning and protecting the heel bone.
If you find a heel cushion that you can flatten between your fingers, then imagine what your body weight does to it when walking or running. That is why we like these particular heel cushion pads as they have a density that does cushion but is not flattened of bottomed-out under body weight.
Can I buy just one pair of cushioning heel cups?
Sorry, no. As we cover the cost of shipping we supply them as 2 sets (2 pairs; 4 units) to make it more economical.
